Baby Point

Defined by its historic stone gates at the corner of Jane Street and Baby Point Road, this established West End neighbourhood overlooks the Humber River and is surrounded by scenic ravines and parkland.

Often pronounced “Bah-by Point,” reflecting its French origins, the area is known for the annual salmon run along the Humber River—a unique seasonal experience that draws both fishing enthusiasts and local onlookers alike.

Baby Point is within walking distance of the shops along Jane Street and Annette Street, where you’ll find a mix of local favourites, including specialty food stores, cafés, and restaurants. Bloor West Village is also nearby, offering an even wider selection of boutiques, bakeries, and everyday conveniences.

Originally developed around 1912 by Robert Home Smith, the neighbourhood is characterized by quiet, tree-lined streets, well-established homes, and generous lots—creating a peaceful, residential setting with a strong sense of community.
